Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026

Thinglets is designed for families and children. The app avoids advertising, behavioral tracking, public profiles, social features, and child-to-child messaging.

Data We Collect

Google ML Kit Diagnostics

Thinglets uses Google ML Kit for on-device image labeling. The bundled Google ML Kit privacy manifests declare collection of device identifiers, product interaction, performance data, other diagnostic data, other data types, and other user content for analytics and app functionality. These disclosures are for the SDK's diagnostics and functionality; Thinglets does not use them for advertising or tracking.

Data We Do Not Collect for Advertising or Tracking

Camera Use

Thinglets uses the camera so a child can scan real-world objects during discovery play. Raw camera frames are not stored by default. Optional discovery thumbnails may be saved locally only to support the child's private museum collection.

On-Device and Parent-Controlled Processing

Thinglets is built to prefer on-device processing where possible. Any optional cloud, sync, import, or server-side processing features must remain parent-controlled and off unless a parent enables them.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Thinglets does not receive full payment card details. Purchase actions are placed behind a parental gate inside the app.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share children's data for advertising or tracking. Data may be processed only as needed to provide app functionality, comply with law, or support a parent-requested help request.

Children's Privacy

Thinglets is intended for family use with parent oversight. Parents can control settings, review app behavior, and request deletion of support information we control.
