Pacero is built with a privacy-first approach. We believe your running data belongs to you, not us. That's why all your personal data is stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.

Information We Collect

Location Data

Pacero uses GPS to track your running routes. This location data is:

• Stored locally on your device only
• Never transmitted to our servers
• Used solely for displaying your routes and calculating statistics
• Completely under your control - you can delete it at any time

Health and Fitness Data

If you choose to sync with Apple Health, Pacero will:

• Write workout data to Apple Health (with your permission)
• Read relevant health data to personalize your experience (optional)
• Never share this data with third parties

Anonymous Analytics (Optional)

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the app. This includes:

• App feature usage (which screens are viewed)
• Crash reports and performance data
• Device type and iOS version (for compatibility)

This data cannot be used to identify you personally. You can opt out of analytics in the app settings.

How We Use Your Information

• GPS Tracking: To record and display your running routes
• Statistics: To calculate pace, distance, and other metrics
• Training Plans: To personalize workout recommendations (Pro feature)
• Apple Health: To sync your workouts (optional, user-controlled)
• App Improvement: To fix bugs and improve performance

Data Storage

All personal data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage mechanisms. We do not operate servers that store your personal running data, routes, or health information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only sharing that occurs is:

• Apple Health sync (only with your explicit permission)
• GPX export (only when you choose to export)

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Export: Export your runs as GPX files
• Delete: Delete individual runs or all data
• Revoke Permissions: Remove location or Health access at any time

Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data from your device.

Children's Privacy

Pacero is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
