LastGlass

Your record

Keep a private sobriety journal you can take with you

A local record gives you control over what you write. It also means you should understand your export and backup options before changing phones or deleting the app.

Your journal is local. LastGlass offers portable export and a separate password-encrypted backup. Save a file you can find and keep its password before changing devices. A purchase restore restores an entitlement; it does not retrieve a missing journal from a LastGlass server.

What a private journal means here

There is no LastGlass account, follower list or public feed. Your check-ins and journal belong to the local app record. An app lock helps protect casual access on your device; it is not a backup and does not protect an exported file after you share it elsewhere.

No account does not mean no outside services. Purchases use Apple and RevenueCat. Optional diagnostics can include health-related ratings if you consent. Support chat uses Crisp when you start it. The privacy policy names these services and the choices involved.

Export, encrypted backup and clinician PDF are different

File or actionWhat it is forWhat to check
Portable exportMoving or inspecting your recordTreat it as sensitive; it is not the password-encrypted backup option
Password-encrypted backupKeeping a protected copy for importKeep both the file and password; test that you can locate them
Clinician PDF, with LastGlass+A summary you choose to share with a professionalIt excludes journal text and does not replace a full backup
Restore purchasesRechecking your App Store subscriptionIt does not restore a lost local journal

Your choice of destination matters. Saving to a cloud drive, sending a file or sharing a PDF gives that destination a copy. LastGlass does not control another service’s retention or the people who can access a shared folder.

Before changing phones

  1. Open Settings in LastGlass and find the export and backup controls.
  2. Make a fresh password-encrypted backup if you want a protected copy.
  3. Save the file somewhere you can access from the new device. Keep the password separately.
  4. Check that the saved file is present before removing anything from the old device.
  5. Use LastGlass’s import flow on the new device, then verify the restored record before deleting your old copy.

Do not assume that an Apple device backup, a cloud drive file and a LastGlass export are the same thing. Device-backup settings and any chosen file destination have their own behaviour. Ask support if you are uncertain before deleting the only working record.

Resetting data and cancelling payment

The app has a confirmed local reset. That action is separate from cancelling a subscription with Apple, deleting an export or asking a support vendor to remove records. A local reset cannot recall a file you sent to someone else.

Use the privacy controls for the distinctions and request routes. Avoid putting private journal text into a support message unless you have decided it is necessary to share it.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a LastGlass cloud account that can restore my journal?

No. LastGlass stores the personal record locally and does not provide an account-based journal recovery service. Make a portable export or password-encrypted backup before changing devices or removing the app. Apple device backups and files you choose to store elsewhere have their own settings.

Does deleting my local record cancel LastGlass+?

No. Local data reset and App Store subscription management are separate. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account. Vendor support and purchase records also have separate deletion processes explained in the privacy policy.

Does the clinician PDF include my journal text?

No. The LastGlass+ clinician summary is a separate PDF of patterns for you to choose to share. It excludes journal text. Portable exports and backups are different files and may contain your private record.
