LastGlass

Your record. Your choices.

Privacy policy.

How LastGlass and this website handle information, including optional health-related diagnostics.

Effective 18 October 2026 · VANTH Studio, The Netherlands

Who is responsible

VANTH Studio, based in The Netherlands, is responsible for the processing described here. Contact hello@vanthstudio.com for questions or privacy requests. This policy covers LastGlass and vanthstudio.com/lastglass/. It does not replace the policies of services you choose separately.

See our separate Consumer Health Privacy Policy for health data categories and related rights.

Your personal record

Your profile, alcohol-free start date, journal text, check-ins, urge notes, personal reasons, photos and trusted contacts are kept in the app’s local storage. LastGlass has no app account and no app-operated cloud sync for this record. We do not receive journal text, notes, contact details, photos or exact start dates through diagnostics.

Local storage is separate from the limited ratings and usage events described below. Apple device backups, exports and files you save to a cloud provider are subject to your device settings and the services you select.

Optional diagnostics: only with your agreement

Diagnostics are off by default. If you turn them on, PostHog receives app screens and feature actions, device/app details and health-related categories: mood and urge ratings, whether alcohol was recorded and a drinking range, support tools and outcomes, coarse time and duration ranges, milestones and safety-path choices. These help us understand and improve app usability and support tools. They can reveal information about your health or drinking habits.

Events use a persistent pseudonymous identifier. Pseudonymous does not mean anonymous. If diagnostics are enabled, RevenueCat purchase events and subscription status may be linked to that identifier. No advertising targeting uses this health information. We do not enable session replay, automatic screen capture, surveys or contact/journal capture.

Settings → Privacy lets you withdraw consent at any time. This stops new optional analytics and removes the RevenueCat/PostHog link for future attribution. It does not by itself erase events already received; contact us to request deletion. Earlier diagnostic consent that did not explicitly describe health data must be renewed in the updated app. Imported backups do not grant fresh consent.

For EU/UK users, the basis for this optional processing is consent, including explicit consent for health-related information. Refusing or withdrawing consent does not remove access to core app features. PostHog’s ingestion endpoint is in the EU; service providers and their subprocessors may otherwise process data in additional countries.

Purchases and install attribution

Apple handles payments. RevenueCat helps validate receipts, subscription access and restoration using a pseudonymous app-user identifier, purchase/product and entitlement information and device/app information. LastGlass does not receive your full payment card details. RevenueCat may collect an Apple AdServices attribution token and attribution result to measure an Apple Ads install; this is separate from optional health analytics. We do not send your journal or health-related ratings to Apple Ads for advertising targeting.

Purchase processing supports delivery of your subscription, our contract with you and applicable accounting/legal obligations. Necessary fraud prevention and service security may rely on legitimate interests. Purchase records may be retained where necessary for restoration, disputes or legal requirements.

Support you choose to use

If you email us or start in-app Crisp chat, we receive the message, attachments you choose, contact details you provide, and relevant device/app and support-session information. Crisp starts after you first choose chat and can reconnect to an existing support session later to deliver replies. Please avoid sending sensitive medical records or journal exports.

We use support information to respond and fix problems, under the applicable contract, legitimate interests in providing support, or consent where required for sensitive information you choose to share. Choosing support does not opt you into diagnostics. Email hello@vanthstudio.com to request access or deletion of support records.

Optional Apple features and your exports

Apple Health mood sharing is opt-in and writes a selected mood to Apple Health; LastGlass does not read your Health history. The Journaling Suggestions picker supplies only content you select. Available Apple Intelligence reflections run on-device. Phone/Watch sync transfers app counts and timer outcomes between your devices; if diagnostics are enabled, a timer-completion outcome and duration range may also be sent to PostHog.

Notifications are optional. Trusted-contact calls or messages use the relevant system app. Exports and password-encrypted backups are created when you choose them; you control where they are saved or sent. Face ID/app locking uses Apple’s authentication; LastGlass does not receive your biometric template.

This website

The LastGlass pages do not embed advertising, analytics, chat widgets or tracking cookies. Our VPS host receives ordinary web requests, including IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent and technical error information. Nginx access logs rotate daily with 14 retained rotations, normally about two weeks; security incidents or legal duties can require longer retention. We use this information to deliver and protect the site, based on our legitimate interests. Other VANTH Studio pages may use different tools.

Recipients, transfers and retention

Recipients are VANTH Studio and the service providers needed for the purposes above: Apple for purchases and optional system services, RevenueCat for subscriptions/attribution, PostHog for consented diagnostics, Crisp for chosen support, and hosting/email providers for the website and correspondence. Providers may use approved subprocessors. We do not sell personal or consumer health data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Where information is transferred outside the EEA/UK, applicable safeguards such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses are required. Contact us for details of safeguards relevant to your data. We retain information only as needed for its stated purpose, support follow-up, security, legal duties or disputes; vendor records have purpose-dependent retention rather than the lifetime of your local app installation.

Provider information: Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Crisp.

Controls and privacy rights

You can turn off diagnostics, revoke Apple Health/notification permissions, export your record or reset local data in Settings. A reset does not cancel subscriptions, delete your own saved exports or automatically erase purchase/support/analytics records held by providers.

Email hello@vanthstudio.com to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object where applicable. Include only enough information to locate the relevant support session or pseudonymous app identifier; we may ask for proportionate identity verification. Do not send extra health information to prove identity. We respond within applicable statutory periods. If a request is refused, reply to appeal and we will explain available review routes. No retaliation or loss of core functionality results from exercising privacy rights.

EEA/UK residents may complain to their local data protection authority, including the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. US state rights, including consumer health rights and appeals, depend on residence and applicability; see Consumer Health Privacy.

Adults and policy updates

LastGlass is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information. Material changes will be explained in the app or on this page before they apply; new consent is requested where required. Continuing to use the app does not replace required consent.
